Since 2012, the Dynamic Dance Academy Company Team has quickly become THE team to be a part of! Our Company program is one of the most technically-based and demanding in the city.
Ballet is the foundation of all dance, and without enough of it, it's extremely difficult to be a successful dancer. Company team members take a minimum of 3 hours of ballet each week. Another important part of our training is conditioning classes. Our dancers are athletes, and train just like athletes do in our 60 minute conditioning class and 90 minute jumps and turns class, which includes cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility training. Many of our students choose to go beyond the minimum, and opt to take additional technique classes. Our youngest team members have a modified program that includes just enough technique classes without overdoing it.
Dynamic Dance Academy's team attends 3-4 competitions and conventions during the season, including a National level competition during the summer. By performing on stage in front of a panel of judges, students gain self-confidence that lasts even while off stage. They learn how to accept constructive criticism, and how to apply it to improve themselves. Being part of a team gives children a sense of teamwork, dedication and self-confidence.
Our team members have been accepted into some of the most prestegious dance programs in the area, including Mark Twain's JHS dance program, Laguardia HS's dance program, the Joffrey Ballet Academy at Fort Hamilton HS, and the Joffrey Ballet School's summer intensive. We are so proud of each and every one of our students!
